I received a pack of these Goody Ouchless elastics from Influenster and I couldn't have been more excited. Every since Birchbox turned me on to Twistband, these type of hair ties have been my go-to for quick pony tails. I have really long hair (it's straight and of medium thickness) so I need something substantial to hold it up. These work perfectly and look cute as well.
As you can see they all look pretty similar although the Sephora tie has been worn a few times, and the Twistband and Goody have only been worn once (on a pigtail and ponytail respectively.) The Sephora and Twistband are a little lighter and more elastic feeling, while the Goody is a little thicker. Twistbands cost $5 for a set of three which comes out to $1.66 per band, which is pretty steep considering these are just pieces of colored elastic tied in a know. Sephora bands are $8.50 for a pack of 8, which comes out to $1.06. And the Goody bands are $3.99 for a pack of 5, which comes out to $.80- the best value by far.
Now if only one of these companies would make a smaller, thinner ribbon elastic for kids hair! I'm sick of the tiny elastics I use on Reagan pulling out her hair!
