Seattle's Favorite Gourmet Cookies and Dessert Co. Cranberry Muffin Top: I've never understood the "top of the muffin is the best part of the muffin" argument, but this looked like a pretty good pastry regardless. I had high hopes but when I bit into it, it just wasn't as good as I had expected. I think these would be amazing fresh out of the oven, but during shipping the condensation made it a little soggy and nothing grosses me out more than soggy pastries.
Lily's Bakery Shop Chocolate Babka: This bread was super duper rich, way too rich and dark tasting for me. If you like dark chocolate you'd probably love this but it wasn't for me. R liked it though which was good.
Chocolate Maven Hazelnut Cheesecake Brownie: At first I took a bite of just the chocolate part and it was way too dark for my liking. So I tried the whole thing and I ended up liking it. These too would be amazing fresh out of the oven but they lose a lot in the shipping process.
Gianna's Homemade Baked Goods Freedom Star Sugar Cookies: These were my favorite things in the entire box- I wish I'd have just gotten a box full of them! I'm a huge sugar cookie fan and even though they crumble they don't lose much taste while being shipped. I think I might order some more of these.
Orange Glad Ice-Dream Sandwich: This looked so good and I had such high hopes for it and it was just... not good. The only real flavor was sugar and it was just too much. I think if the filling had been a different flavor and there was more taste to the cookie it'd have been really good, but it was sugar on top of sugar and just not good.
I was so excited for this box and the past two months have been really meh. I'm going to give it a few more months and see how it goes but so far I'm not too impressed.
