Subscriptions: Birchbox May 2014 Review

The outer boxes this month were a very festive yellow. I loved it!

But not as much as I loved the print on the inside of the boxes. I keep all my Birchboxes and I have a really ridiculous amount of them now. I need to get my craft on. I made vanity drawer organizers out of Birchboxes last year so I need to think of something different!

SmartyPants Gummy Vitamins for Adults - Ok, so I know this says for adults but there was nothing saying kids couldn't have them so I gave them to R. I just can't with gummy vitamins. Just the thought of them makes me want to gag. She enjoyed them though which I guess is a good thing, haha!

Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy Body Lotion - Last month I got the bodywash version of this and I didn't love it, but the lotion is much better. The formula is just ok, nothing special, but the smell is great and it's not watered down body wash which is a plus in my book.

Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow - When I opened this up to swatch it, it started pouring out of the little tube so I got a ton on my finger. I used it on my face instead and it's ok. The color looked opaque enough for my tastes in the tube but going on it was a little more sheer than I like. However the formula feels great and my skin feels moisturized and even a little silky. This won't replace my Supergoop CC cream though.

Number 4 High Performance Hair Care Shampoo/ Conditioner - I will always use shampoo/ conditioner samples because I go through it so quickly. This stuff smells great and looks promising but that foil packet of conditioner? You have to be kidding me! My hair would require at least that little bottle of shampoo size amount, so this won't do anything. I'm anxious to see how the shampoo does with my hair dye though.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Silver Eyeliner- I was excited to get a Cynthia Rowley product, more excited that it was an eyeliner, and even more excited that it was silver! I forgot to swatch it, but it's incredible. It went on smoothly and totally metallic silver. I am pretty gusty with my makeup because hello, I have hot pink hair, so this is perfect. I may need the full size version one day!

Birchbox is only $10 a month and includes samples from all kinds of high-end beauty brands. If you're interested in signing up check out my referral link below!
