Sunday Social

1. What is your biggest driving pet peeve? People who don't use their blinkers while driving. Seriously, it is NOT that hard! Also, anyone who is driving exactly the speed limit or any under while in the fast lane. MOVE.

2. What is your biggest blogging pet peeve? Reviews that don't sound authentic! I found this great looking subscription box blog, but every review was written like it came straight from the manufacturer. I know it's possible to like a lot of stuff, but not everything, and the way these "reviews" were written didn't sound even the least bit genuine. It was a total disappointment.

3. What is your biggest shopping pet peeve? When I go into a store and need help from a sales person and am never approached! It's usually always the opposite so when I can't get anyone to help me it feels especially frustrating. Having worked in retail (something everyone should have to do at some point in their lives) I know what it feels like to be yelled at for not bugging customers enough, and what it feels like to not make money or not be scheduled for not selling enough, so I'm fine with letting the employees do their job. If you don't want to deal with that shop online! :)

4. What is your biggest general pet peeve? Constant noises. Whistling, humming, drumming, snoring, breathing loud, etc. It just drives me insane.

5. What is your most irrational fear? I definitely have a lot of fears, but I'd say most aren't irrational. My most "irrational" fear is my vomit phobia- simply because it's a phobia and therefore irrational.

P.S. :D

  1. Oh, most of these are definitely annoying. Lack of blinkers piss me off and it makes me even more annoyed when they do use it... once their already in the turn lane. Fake reviews are really annoying on blogs. When people accept and review anything that they get just because they got it.. no. Just no.

As for the shopping habit, I definitely feel you on that one. Working in retail has definitely caused me to get into that overly helpful mentality and when people get annoyed with it, you can just tell they've never had to work a retail job a day in their life!

    1. Hahaha yes the using it when they're already in the lane is such a head scratcher.

My mom is the type who HATES when sales people approach her, and thankfully she's not particularly rude (or I'd never go out with her) but she throws off a huge "get the hell away from me vibe." It's like, if you're the one who walked into their place of work, at least be nice!

  2. Great list. I agree with the constant noise - though with 3 kids I find the constant noise hard to block out so it irritates me even more lol

    1. Oh my I can't imagine the constant noise of three kids! My one kid is a SCREAMER, as in happy, sad, excited, angry, tried, etc. and she just about pulls my brain through my ears every day. Tripling that would be too much for me!

  3. I hate tapping. My husband taps and has to make some kind of noise constantly…. I don't remember him doing that when we were dating. haha! Great list! :) Happy Sunday!

    1. My little brother and sister were the same growing up! I always said they should be drummers because it was always a drumming free-for-all with pens, fingers, etc. and it always drove me nuts! Noise is one of my biggest anxiety triggers, whiiich didn't really work out so well having a baby myself but I'm learning to live with her exuberant noise levels. ;)

  5. I'm with you on the reviews that don't sound authentic. I like blogs that are genuine, so it's a turn off when everything sounds fake and contrived. Glad I found you from the link up! It's awesome that you're from CO. My dad is from Denver and my husband is from Colorado Springs, so Colorado is my second home. My dad actually went to Metro State too. :)

    1. I totally agree! And that is so neat you have so much family from here, and that your dad went to Metro!!! I am so proud of my alma mater. It's come so far and it definitely gets bullied by the big state schools here (CU and CSU) but it doesn't deserve it at all. Thanks for stopping by!

  6. You and I share a blog peeve! I don't see the point in posting something if it's not genuine, and in your own words. There's part of me that is quite curious if we're referring to the same blogger. Haha.

Hope you had a great weekend!
