My most recent favorite one is the Bank of America commercial with the Newfoundland. At the end when they show the couple picking up the sweet little puppy from the breeder and the man notices the adult dog standing next to the horse. Yeah, that's pretty much the same reaction I had when I met Hank's dad.

4. What is your favorite day of the week?

Sunday! Sundays are my Saturday since N works Tuesday to Saturday.

5. What is your favorite way to waste time?

Messing around on the internet of course!

So What Wednesdays

Today I'm linking up with Life After I "Dew" and saying so what if...

 

- R colored all over herself while I was in the bathroom this morning and I can't even be mad because she used a pink marker to carefully color her little toenails. Hopefully her face "decorations" wash off by tomorrow though...

 

- I am weighing my aversion to put pants on with my desire for Starbucks today. I am dragging...

 

So ready to eat a whole pan of these. If everyone else doesn't get to them first...

 

- We still haven't even bought the ingredients to make the "crack potatoes" we'll be bringing to both N's mom's house and my parents house tomorrow.

 

 What even is this?!

 

- I'm letting R watch the My Little Pony "Equestria Girls" movie right now because it's on YouTube and oh my lord this is a complete abomination. How they turned something as decent as My Little Pony into this I have no idea.

 

- I got a new tattoo on Sunday and it hurtsss. I've been complaining about how sore my arm has been for the past couple days but nobody feels bad for me, hahaha.

USPS Style Box of Joy and my first giveaway!

Do any of you rember when USPS promised to launch a "Style Box of Joy"? There was a lot of hype about it on twitter and in the blogosphere but when it came time to access the website to put your information in, the website went down. I refreshed it for awhile, checked other blogs and twitter, and eventually the website loaded and I was able to get my information in! That was awhile ago and I had forgotten all about it until I got a notification that my box was shipping a few days ago! I was super excited to see what was inside...

This weeks questions are about Thanksgiving foods:

1. Stuffing or Mashed Potatoes

Stuffing hands down no question. I love potatoes, but not when they're mashed or baked.

2. Homemade cranberry sauce, or Store bought cranberry sauce

Strangely satisfying.

It's not "real" cranberry sauce if it doesn't come out shaped like the can. I eat at least half a can of that stuff every year. I heard a few years ago it's basically all sugar but whatevs. So good.

3. Pumpkin Pie, or Pecan Pie

Pumpkin! I love a good (store-bought, haha) pumpkin pie. We don't usually do pecan around here and I don't hate it, but it's nothing compared to pumpkin.

4. Cooking all day, or Cleaning up all night

I'm a terrible cook so I'll say cleaning. Although neither is really preferable. ;)

5. Thanksgiving Day Parade, or Football game

I love the parade but almost never wake up in time to watch it, haha. I'm not into football at all. But I'm really looking forward to the:

Tuesday Troubles

Stolen (with permission!) from Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom!

- I had to get my blood drawn at the doctor's this morning which is always fun (not). I don't mind the actual blood drawing part but my arm is always so sore after. I hate it.

- Even though I bribed her with a Ring Pop, R was a disaster at the doctor's just like she is everywhere. She wouldn't come in the room but ran away and sprawled out on the ground in the hallway. Thankfully they weren't busy and one of the nurses kept an eye on her while another drew my blood. I wish she would just behave!

- Speaking of that freaking Ring Pop, R told me that she was done with it as we were leaving the doctor's office so I threw it away. Now that we're home she is melting down hardcore that it's gone because she wants it again. I'm letting her scream it out in her room, I'm about to go nuts.

- I'm out of Zofran and don't want to take R to the store.

- The Avs have dropped three in a row and tonight they play the regning Stanley Cup Champs. The Black Hawks are defintetely my second fabvorite team (i.e. the team I root for when the Avs inevitably don't make the playoffs) and they usually have good games against the Avs, but uggh, I don't want to see the losing streak continue.

- I need to learn to stop getting involved in things on the internet where I know people will disagree with what I have to say. It's not my intention to be rude, but I always end up getting my feelings hurt and I should just ignore it. Yesterday someone was really rude to me though and it pissed me off.

- Tuesday's are my Mondays since N has Sundays and Mondays off and I'm already ready for it to be Saturday night. I wish my health was better so I could get a job because R is driving me INSANE.

This weeks questions are about fears:

1. Heights or deep water?

Hrm, I'm probably going to have to go with heights I'm not super afraid of either, but heights make me really uneasy. Just thinking about them makes my toes literally tingle! Does that happen to anyone else?

N texted me this picture while he was out on a walk with R.

He said, "Well... I guess your daughter saw snake sex today."

2. Snakes or Spiders?

Spiders! I hate, hate, hate snakes and all other reptiles! I don't mind spiders at all. I actually have a Chilean rose tarantula that lives next to my bed. They're the perfect pet. Their food costs just a few dollars a year, they don't make a mess, don't smell, and are fun to watch! I bought my girl from a pet store when she was fairly mature (I have no idea how old she is) so I've never handled her. When (if?) she dies I'm going to get a baby that I can handle.

3. Losing all your teeth, or losing all your hair?

This is a tough one because fun wigs, amirite? But I'm actually going to say teeth because you can get dentures and the best part? NO MORE TEETH CLEANINGS AT THE DENTIST! My hair is actually falling out pretty badly right now. I have an appointment today for thyroid blood work (I have Hashimotos and switched meds a few months ago and am still adjusting) and I am dying for some rainbow hair extensions (for volume) from Intense Extensions! Be still my heart! I'd have gotten them yesterday if they weren't so dang expensive.

4. No voice or No hearing?

I think I'm going to go with no voice. I'm always torn between no hearing/ no seeing, but I think I could stand to live without my voice.

5. Eating a bug, or eating intestines?

Ew ew ew! Are the intestines cooked? Oh who am I kidding that wouldn't make a difference. Well, I think I actually wold say intenstines because you could at least try and pretend it was something else. Weird, semi-related side story: I was at Petsmart last month getting crickets for the Duchess and I asked the guy who was getting me the crickets why they were yellow instead of black. He said it's because they eat a special, non-toxic diet, and he proceeds to GRAB A CRICKET AND POP IT IN HIS MOUTH AND EAT IT! In my mind I fell over dead but I put on a very cool front so as not to give the guy any sort of reaction. But ew, who does that?!

Our Life: Raking Leaves

The MASSIVE cottonwood tree in our backyard finally dropped most of it's leaves. That means we have a few precious sunny days until the inevitable first snowstorm hits and turns the entire backyard into a dead, soggy leaf wasteland if we don't rake it all up. Since it's a nice sunny day out N has been raking leaves with his two companions in the backyard. I've been doing things around the house but had to snap some pics of our cuties playing around!

Assistant manager at Zumiez, file clerk for my dad's law firm, uh... stay-at-home-mom? Sadly that's all I got. I'm waiting till R is school aged to get a job.

Nightmare Before Christmas, Mean Girls (duh), Team America, The Fellowship of the Ring.

Highlands Ranch (Co), Fort Collins (Co), Castle Rock (Co), and Littleton (Co). And those are the only places I've ever lived!

4. Name 4 of your favorite foods.

Are frappucino's a food? They're my breakfast/ lunch more often that I should admit. I'll also say crab and cheese wontons, hamburgers with sautéed mushrooms, and mushroom risotto. Yum!

5. Name 4 things you always carry with you.

Phone, purse, keys, wallet? That's what I usually carry when I'm out but I'm also a crazy person who forgets everything constantly.

Julep Diamond Mystery Box

They didn't include their "Aren't surprises fun?" card this time!

When I saw Julep was offering a new mystery box I was like "no, I am not falling for that again." And then when I saw the two polishes they guaranteed were going to be in every box (two very cool glitters- Antonia and Geo) I was like maybeee. And then when I saw they promised that it was their highest value box ever I was like FINE JULEP JUST TAKE MY MONEY. Plus I skipped November's box so I felt justified. Right?!

Friday Phone Dump

I only have one picture to share with y'all today, and it's a great representation of how my week was:

Why yes, that is a BRAND NEW NAKED 2 PALETTE THAT MY MOM JUST GAVE TO ME BECAUSE R DID THIS TO MY LAST ONE! Oh and she did it to my basics palette too. I woke up yesterday morning super nauseous (yay gastroparesis!) and I set her on my bed with snacks and cartoons on the iPad while I laid in the bathroom. I dozed off for a little and woke up to this.

Hautelook Fall Beauty Bag 2013

 

Funny story with this one. I thought for sure this bag was going to sell out right away so I set an alarm to wake up when it went on sale. I woke up at 6am (I HATE waking up early) and couldn't find it on my Hautelook app. I refreshed forever and then realized I had set my alarm 2 hours too early! So I set it again and woke up and bought it. And then it never sold out... Now I know.

Bye bye undefeated road streak!

 

- The Avalanche lost last night. The played lazy until the very end of the game. They need to make sure their crazy record isn't going to their heads and be out for blood every night.

 

- R didn't even make it through one song yesterday at dance class. She was melting down before she even had to go into the studio and once she finally went in she just laid on the floor and started screaming. I decided enough was enough and took her butt home right away. She cried the entire way home that she wanted to go back but I know she would have kept tantrum-ing. I emailed the dance teacher (who is the nicest woman EVER) to ask if we could try the 11am Wednesday class and she said that'd be fine. We went today and R was great even though there were a lot of distractions! *whew*

- R has already grown out of her dance shoes! They still fit but are really, really tight and the poor girl has a nasty blister on the back of one of her ankles from  trying to wear a too-small pair of sneakers. I broke down and bought her shoes that are a little bigger today. I'm going to frame the old ones!

- I lost all my mail keys. Actually this really sucks. I know my Birchbox is in my freaking mailbox and Ipsy is too, or at least is coming soon. I just had four new keys made earlier this year and now I have no idea where any of them are. I'm losing my mind!

- I am still getting brutalized in fantasy hockey. UGGH.

-  The new motility drug my GI wants me to be on ISN'T AVAILABLE IN THE US! What?!?! Also, it induces/ promotes lactation. Looks like I'll never stop lactating! R really can nurse until she leaves for college. ;)

Oh my gosh Will Smith then no question! I've never really been a fan of his or seen many of his movies (I was also too young for the Fresh Prince) but now he's a crazy ass Scientology and has even crazier assed kids. Sorry I'm not sorry but Jaden Smith is the worst.

2. Platform Sandals, or Clear Plastic Sandals

While I loved me a good pair of jellies I'm going to have to go with platform sandals. I was OBSESSED with the Spice Girls so the higher the platform the better!

3. Tamagotchis or Nano Babies

I was definitely team Nano Babies! But I did have more than a few Tamagotchis! I actually still have a ton lying around somewhere. Did you know there's a Tamagotchi app for smart phones?! It's just like having the old egg. I've killed most of the ones I've tried to raise already. How I keep a real child alive I have no idea.

 

4. TGIF Line Up or Nick After Dark

I don't seem to recall "Nick After Dark" but I remember being super disappointed every time Nickelodeon switched to "Nick At Nite." I wanted more cartoons! I also never watched the TGIF line up.

 

5. JTT or Devon Sawa.

I was a little young during the JTT years, and I really have no idea who Devon Sawa is. (Google did not really help.) So I suppose JTT is going to have to win by default. ;)

1. Favorite Thanksgiving Memory?

 

Probably R's first Thanksgiving. She was just started to eat solid food and it was so fun to watch her try all of the Thanksgiving food. We gave her a little bit of cranberry sauce and the sour face she was was hilarious! Of course she wanted more after that!

Our Life: Pepsi Center Tour

 

One of my dear internet friends made the trip to Colorado from Canada so she could attend the Colorado Avalanche's retirement of Adam Foote's number. While she was here she decided to take a tour of the Pepsi Center and she invited Reagan and I to come along with her. I've been to the Pepsi Center many, many times but have never taken a tour of the building! It was really interesting to get a behind-the-scenes view, and learn all kinds of new things about the building and the teams that play there. Because there was going to be an Avalanche game there that night, the building was bustling with activity. It was a very cool experience and I was so excited to spend time with my friend
