Influenster: Rose Vox Box

Well this is kind of late but last week I got my second box from Influenster- the Rose Vox Box! I get excited about any and all free stuff, but this had particularly good stuff in it.

The first look for Influenster boxes is never pretty, but it's free so it's not a big deal.

My attempt to arrange the box for a picture. I don't know what's worse, my arrangement or my photography skills. One day I'll learn how to use my DSLR. One day...

From left to right: Dr Scholl's Cozy Cushions,  Kiss Gradation Polishes, Rimmel London Scandaleyes in Retro Glam, Lindt Lindor Milk Chocolate Truffle, Belvita Breakfast Cracker in blueberry.

The "Cozy Cushions" were actually pretty cool. You cut them to your size if you need to, and it's actually very easy. I have a pair of zombie boots from Iron Fist that are really cool, but really cheaply made and wearing them a few times has stretched them out a lot. These inserts are perfect for them!

This gradient nail set is a cool idea, but it didn't work so well in practice. I did a quick and dirty mani, and got a terrible picture of course, but the colors didn't fade into each other very well. The base color was also super light so even the two coats the instructions recommended didn't get them opaque. I think I'll give these polishes to my sister. I have too many nice ones to keep these around.

I don't have pictures of anything else (well I do have the ones that were required on my Instagram and Facebook but they're pretty crappy so you can use your imagination) but as far as the other products go:

The Rimmel London Scandaleyes in Retro Glam mascara was alright for being a drugstore mascara. I don't wear drugstore makeup but I was pleasantly surprised by this. I'll keep it around for layering.

The Lindt Lindor Milk Chocolate Truffle was DELICIOUS. Seriously how have I never had these before? I want a whole bag. (Because that's what I really need.)

The Belvita Breakfast Cracker in blueberry was decent. I've had those before (my parents buy them) and while they're not gross, they're not exactly tasty. They're pretty dry- like eating dry cereal. I'm usually pretty nauseous in the morning because of my GI issues, and I rarely eat before 5pm, let alone before noon. These are decent to nibble on if my stomach is growling but I'm also nauseous.

  1. Hi Lauren,

Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday! I'm quite partial to your blog name- nice choice! haha. My pup is a Border/Aussie mix- she is so smart it's scary sometimes. I love her, but geez she can be a pain lol. What kind of pup do you have?

I am actually from AZ, but travel to Colorado every summer-- I'd love to live there but I think I would literally freeze to death. :) What part of CO are you in?

What a fun box! I love the idea of the polish- too bad it didn't work well. Can't win them all I guess.

    1. Your welcome and thank you, haha! Your pup is a beauty, I love her markings! I have a Bernese Mountain Dog and he's not very smart, but boy is he sweet! My husband and I love both Border Collies and Australian Shepherds but I don't know if I could handle a dog with that much energy!
And how funny, I think about moving to Arizona every time it snows here, hahaha. I can't stand it but I don't think I'll ever be able to leave Colorado!

    2. Aww I love your Bernie, he is too adorable! Are you familiar with Great Pyrenees by any chance? I have one (who lives with my parents- long story lol) and the farm I got her from had Berneses too-- love big dogs!!

I some how lucked out with Lorelei big time- she is actually pretty calm. Calm enough for the vet to notice even! As far as the loving Borders and Aussies-- yes!! They are the best! I just say she's a border collie, but they guy I got her from said she was an Aussie. Honestly I haven't really been able to figure out the difference between the two. Their build I guess?

Hahah, I really don't know how you do it! But then I guess the summers and having actual seasons makes it all worth it :)

    3. Yes I love Great Pyrenees dogs! I think they're related to Berners. Mixing GPs and Berners is actually pretty common, I met one at the dog park the other day! They come out with a gorgeous light brown and white coat.
