So What Wednesday

Today I'm linking up with Life After I "Dew" and saying so what if...

- Dance class was cancelled and we're having a snow day today! It snowed all night last night and is still going and apparently the roads are pretty awful. The only thing is, is that we have pretty much no food in the house- I was planning on shopping today- and I'm not sure I want to brave it through the neighborhood to get to the store.

- I want N to come home (with food, haha) but he's actually busy today at work because according to him, "OMGOMHOMGOMG people just found out their tires suck." Hahaha!

- I have to use my little sister's car while N tries to figure out what's wrong with mine. She's in college across the country right now so it's not being used, but I don't really like it (it drives really weird.) FWP I know, but I miss my car! Actually I'm pretty mad at my car right now but we're in the middle of a love/ hate relationship.

- Every time Hank goes outside to pee and then comes back inside when it snows he brings all kinds of snow inside with him. But it's cool because I didn't want to clean the laminate in the first place.

- Ok I think I am going to try to brave the snowy roads to get food. I'm SO hungry and I don't want to eat Spaghetti O's again although I'm sure R gladly would. I have a touch of PTSD when it comes to driving in the snow because of a very serious car accident I was in a few years ago, but I try and deal with it the best I can.

RIP Blue Beauty, I hardly knew thee.

  1. It's very snowy here, too! And so true--my dad just had his tires changed yesterday. He's not much the handy type. :)

  2. Oh my gosh, did you have any injuries in the wreck? I don't blame you for being cautious! I hope your grocery adventure went okay!

    1. Surprisingly enough the only thing that happened was my face hit the steering wheel (the car was an 89 and didn't have airbags) and I broke open my skin from the bottom of my nose to the top of my lip and a little below my lip. It was the first time I ever got stitches in my life and the worst pain of my life when when they shot a numbing agent into the cut right below my nose. OMG. And then it didn't even work!

We decided to stay in yesterday because I was too scared, but we went out today and all was well!

  3. Thank goodness that your injuries weren't worse!! Shots to the face are freaky.. I had cysts in my earlobes and they did the numbing shots and they totally didn't work for me either!

Glad ya made it back safe! :)

    1. Oh man that sounds so painful! But yeah, I got super duper lucky. The other car I hit was a newer Nissan Xterra and the complete front end of that car was smashed in because of the crumple zones, but the driver wasn't hurt at all and refused medical attention at the scene THANK GOD. My dad is an attorney and I know how nasty the car crash suits can get! If either of us had been in smaller cars we could have been severely hurt or killed!
