Friday Phone Dump

Earlier this week I tried out Julep's Cleopatra ("black latex") and Beatrix (black and gold glitter.) I didn't love the way the latex polish looked- up close it was pretty streaky. But I'll continue to use it.

R's favorite spot to cuddle! They can be SO sweet together. And other times she is such a bully! I'm glad he isn't any smaller because at his size he can barely feel her abuse.

Isn't this how everyone watches hockey? She loves to watch it with us and has taken to screaming along whatever we're screaming. Like, "PUNCH 'EM! PUNCH 'EM!" Whoops!

Brie is serious business! And can I just say that I LOVE not being in school. This time last year I was missing these beautiful fall days inside a classroom. I never though I was going to graduate college, and it still feels surreal to me that I actually did it.

The neighbor's dog Deuce (I think that's how they spell it) has found a good bud in Hank. I was cleaning the kitchen with the front door open the other day, and Deuce just ran into our house! I took him outside and he and Hank had a good time playing in the front yard. Deuce is a silver lab and is only a few weeks younger than Hank. Sometimes I can't believe what a giant Hank is!

  1. I haven't tried the Cleopatra yet but I will soon. Did you put some Freedom over it? I think it sometimes smooths out my polish. Or the other thought is maybe a layer of matte top coat between the two coats of polish. They say it works for light colors so maybe for this formula too.

Your little girl is so cute.

    1. I didn't put a topcoat over the Cleopatra because I wanted to keep the latex-y finish which was a really interesting mix between shiny and matte, but I think a top coat would definitely have evened it out. That's a really good idea about the matte top coat! I have a bottle of it that doesn't get used very often so I will definitely try that out. Thanks for stopping by! :)
